What are all these underlined words?????

You might have noticed some underlined words in the forums. This is not trying to sell something like many of the other sites. That will not happen on the Flying Giants. This is a new feature. The Giant Jargon Dictionary has been upgraded and reworked. When one of the terms in the Giant Jargon Dictionary appears in the forums it is crosslinked to the Dictionary. You can point at the term and see part of the definition. If you click on the term it will take you to that listing in the Giant Jargon Dictionary.

The Giant Jargon Dictionary has been expanded to 4 sections Giant Jargon - Terms used on the Flying Giants website and around 3D flight in general. Abbreviations - Abbreviations of common terms. Technical Jargon - Technical terms used in model aviation,and aviation in general. Maneuvers - Description of different aerobatic maneuvers / patterns. Many of the Maneuvers have the Aresti symbols in the definition.

If you decide you don't like the underlines in the forums, you can turn this feature off. To turn off the crosslinking, go to the Forum Navigation menu pull down to My FlyingGiants. On the menu on the left side of the page click on Edit Options. The first option is Glossary Crosslinking. Just uncheck the option Enable Glossary Crosslinking.

A BIIIIIIIIIG thanks to Mike for helping out with The Giant Jargon components! The last dictionary was pretty limited and didn't integrate well, the new GJ works much better, and will hopefully make better ease for some of our newer members.

Please be sure to provide feedback on this, it's very important to help us keep improving the joint.

Also, if the underlined words are driving you nuts, make sure to disable the crosslinking in your FG profile and they will disappear entirely.

No problem Max. Working on the Jargon page has been something I enjoy and It is still a work in progress.

If anyone has photos that would go well with any term let me know. I also need some short videos to go with each of the maneuvers in the Jargon page. If you have something that would work just drop me a pm.
