I have always thought thunder kiss 65 by white zombie would be badass to fly to.. Every time I hear it I always picture just the most hardcore routine I can imagine..

I got it!!!
I'll be using this when I'm invited to the Tucson Shootout but feel free if you want to use it also. I call this the "Fondue Mix".
First you really want to get the crowd into it so you start out with the greatest Cuban Salsa song ever written. That's right.........you know I'm talkin' bout; Copa Cabana, by Barry Manilow. "Her name was Lo-la....she was a showgirl.....Oh man, I'm almost dancin' right now.
Next, to show your playful side and really get the crowd tapping their toes and drinking your punch, you fade into the cleverly written; Muskrat Love, by that charming southern belle and her sailor man, the Captain and Tennille.
Next, you need to slow things down a little. You'll want to show the people you're not just a rock-n-rollin' head banger, so you need to show your vulnerability and your sensitive side. This is the perfect time for; Making Love Out of Nothing at All, by Air Supply.
Finally, the Piece de Resistance, a song that will put you over the top with the judges and the crowd. This is where you bring it all together. You've got everyone eating out of the palm of your hand at this moment and you're not going to let them come up for air, right? That's when you hit em' with; Sky Rockets in Flight, (Afternoon Delight), by the Starland Vocal Band. WOW!!! Can you imagine the hysteria?
Like I said, feel free to use this mix. Your flying, I can't help you with, but at least this mix will show the judges and the crowd that you're a man of discerning musical taste and you're not afraid to take chances.

What I do is find what type of music I like or kinda like and try to find a radio station that plays that type of music and I will listen to the songs that are played, OR I have Rhapsody, so I just browse through the songs on there for a while until I find something I like, but remember to use the same amount of slow and fast music to show the judges you can fly to both!!

Search for Audacity,

Ive got the british freestyle championships comming up soon, and im just starting to peice together some music. Unfortunatly, im into death/black metal, and obviously none of that is good to fly to. So i have a fairly small knowlage of decent to fly to music. Look around at videos of the top guys that fly, take insperation from them, but DONT copy it, thats just un-original and the juge may of looked at these schedules, and notice a direct copy scoring you a 0.

Try not to go for "whats in", it usually doesnt work.

Classical! now, i know it sounds a bit gay, but its really good. Piano music, thats good too, it may not sound cool, but its easy to fly to, good to fly to, and therefore you score high marks, and that means you have better chances of winning.

One song im using this year is Michael Nyman - The heart asks pleasure first. Really good for smooth flying. Some classic blues rock is good too, as its both smooth and has changes, prog rock is a good place to look too. Pink Floyd is one of my favs (i like them anyway, which helps), some of their stuff is very progressive, but its hard to compact it into 4 minutes.

Also, think more outside of just rolling, rolling can get dull to watch, so use the beat of the music to "pace" your flying, and sudden changes in the music to totally change the style of flight.

Hope this helps
Ian

Try something from BLUE MAN GROUP. (Going to see them March 17 in Louisville, KY) Queen is good. A little on the older side is ZZ TOP, YES, VAN HALEN, POLICE, GENISIS. Use your imagination. Doesn't have to be new stuff to be good stuff!!!!!
