It's a Fiesler Storch. WW2 German observation plane. Do a search on that, I'm sure someone has a kit for it somewhere.

A friend of mine who had a few of the Svenson kits passed away and his son still has a couple. These are perfect NIB kits but he wants $700-1000 for one. I am in the process of designing a 1/6 scale Storch that will be similar to the Svenson kit and Bob Holman sells a 1/6 short kit

the storch is the plane that plucked Mussollini from a prison camp on top of a 9,000 foot mountain accessible only by cable car....then flew back out.

well for 700-1000 bugs a kit, this guy will not fly high. The last few have sold in Europe for 450 [complete kit in the box], 320 [mine, completely rebuilt with top cockpit canopy missing] and even as low as 227 [a ready2go one with engine!]. Keep me posted on your kit, man! A. |

A last one on Otto Skorzeny. In 1944, during the Battle of the Bulge, he organised the "Skorzenys", i.e. German troops in US uniforms and even sometimes in US tanks in charge of creating confusion within the Allied lines. Allegedly, one way of identifying a "Skorzeny" in a US uniform was to give him a chewing gum and make him talk. While an American would chew while talking, a German would stop chewing and then talk...
