Re the cost of the Svenson kit, yes they are all over the place but they aint making any more so I presume the kits will continue to go up in price. The last one I saw sold on ebay for $700. I am working on mine, but this won't be cheap either - it's a complex model. FYI, SKS video took a 10 min vid of my model (on ground and in flt) at the Warbirds over Delaware 3 days ago and it should make the video as mine was the only Storch there.

Hi Casor, there certainly is a market for well designed and reasonably priced Strochs but on the other hand, lets not forget that not everybody is chasing size in this field and BMI, Aviomodelli and others have, as it seems, quite well made kits [which are even ARF, if I well remember] which look scalish but are smaller, easier to assemble, handle, etc. And finally there is a bunch of plans of the Stroch flying around on the net. So it won't be an easy go if you want to sit on the last Svenson kits speculating on price! Anyway, my congrats for the footage on your bird, which I'll be curious to see!

All the best,

A.

You could also add to the list my 46" Storch (1/12 scale) that was the feature construction article in the June 2005 RC Modeler and which has been extremely popular.....I have seen all the other Storchs around and the Svenson kit (even with all its issues) and the Bob Holman (Bryant) design are the most accurate 1/6 scale models out there.

Hi Casor,
Thx for all that info and for sharing your knowledge about this very particular "bird". Could you extend a little on "all its issues" as regards the Svenson kit - as I recently bought one which is almost completely assembled. I believe that as there are still kits around, that would be of interest to a number of people.
