Please no flame wars !

Treat this as an isolated unit for what it brings to the market. Lets keep it objective

Power, weight, longevity support etc...

We all know clones are here from a mamas pantyhose to full size animals.
That topic has been beaten to powder and it doesnt do any good.
So lets keep this one in tune.

Thanks for your comments.

Any thoughts??? Dont buy clones. You start buying clones and you will see other companies that actually design the engines go down.

Where in FL are you? I had tried a CR Pro engine a while back and it gave me nothing but problems. Since then I have stayed away from the off brand engines.

It looks like they got most everything right. Stand off's dont look like something I would use though.
I have wasted $370 on other things like women before so who knows. Might be a winner.

The off brands have a lot of small issues. Mufflers being too soft of a metal, faulty ignition units, etc. I would much rather go for one of the Brilleli motors than spend money on something un proven.

A little off topic but on that peak website they have the magnum cloned 4 strokes which work very well.

If I ran one I would start my plane and then run... Probably put on my my Army hemlet and assorted crash gear. The aftermath of quickly flying projectiles is never a good one!!!

Do you have any of them that you are currently running on models? I would like to hear more about how they perform as compared to the other engine that is very similar.

That engine surely looks like others on the market.....But I'm of the opposite opinion of torquen.

Components for our giant scale planes are very pricey indeed....with engine being some of the most overpriced out there. That's why I'm all for the clones\new brands. What it boils down to is new engines into the market place is a good thing....it benefits everyone who doesn't have a limitless pocketbook.

As for this engine in particular....at $370 is seems like a pretty good deal.....but the big turn off's for me are

#1 the Ignition unit does not accept Lion directly into it.
#2 The design of the Standoff would have to be redone before it ever got mounted. I would either have to design a new set myself or use a standard set of standoff's.

More info would also be good as well. How many rings......What is the cyl lined with? I'm sure others will come up with more questions.

As for idealer...could you possibly fill us in on your acquisition? I take it by your post that it wasn't a good purchase?

Bottom Line....if one was given to me I would give it a try.......would I drop $370 on one to be a guinea pig....no. Product name and customer service play into my purchases. There are some brands I won't touch anymore.

For 370 bucks I would try on a throw away ARF. I am emailing them now.

I have wasted 370 bucks on a concert and dinner. Why not take a chance? I have a KMP Reject EF that would be a great sacrificial lamb...

Unfortunately I think of this, "If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question" so now you can guess my response to the initial post.

DL , does that mean you have to be on the Down-low, when you have one in your plane...so no one makes fun of you?? LOL.

You cant get one until after the Chinese New Year, they are on holiday.

But for 370 shipped with ignition and muffler....if , and that is a big IF, it turns out to be a decent engine....it could make waves. And it could also bring more people into the 50cc class. And on the flip side , it could frustrate a whole lot of people and turn them away from the 50 class after a bad experience.

So, honest reports on the engine will be needed from non-vested testers. I will pop for one, and not hold any punches when I critigue it. I have a good test bed for it.

There is no pulse tap on the carb going to the pump side. And yes, real standoffs will be needed. I can't tell , but I bet some of the motorheads here can, if there are one or two bearings in the front.

4.8 v ign...probably an exact copy of the CH, too.

Who knows what the components are made of until you crack one open.....
