Default CA hinges in foamies

I just got done building my E-flite yak. I cant begin to tell you guys how annoying i think putting CA type hinges into foam is. I've had two byp yaks and have dealt with the CA's on the rudder but this one just pissed me off. how do you guys feel about them.

I hear ya man!! I dislike using CA on foam so much that everything I build gets put together with hot glue and hinged with vinyl tape (foamies that is). If you are careful about how you apply the hot glue it adds very little weight but is substantially stronger imo.

What kind of CA hinge is it? I've seen floppy disk hinges used on depron that work very well. I still prefer to use blenderm though.

The one that eflite uses i think are rather stiff and they do work well when flying but they are such a pain in the ass to work with when assembling i ended up using the glue that comes with shockflyers and it worked well, almost like epoxy. foam safe CA's suck and it dont work well with the CA hinges at all. I do perfer hot glue myself and i really like the POR glue from the shockys, If you give it a little time to set up it works great and is very strong.
