looks good i have had 3 of them and the bigest problems is the poor glueing from h9 and the week main gear. a piece of advice is to go over all the joints that you can reach with thin ca. there are a lot of threads on here about the h9-260 and over and over the glue joints are a weak point in the plane. and a rep from h9 admitted to me that the gear was weak. it adds a little weight but not enough to matter but i would get a alum replacement. but over all i love the plane.
like i have posted a few times in other post i have a g-62 on mine with smoke and it weighed in at 15.5-16#'s and never tried to fly ""heavy"" just took a little controll on the left stick and the controll was great. |

Watch the landing gear for delamination and I would do the extra battery I run the 5200mah fromeco and I can fly most of the day on a single charge ... when landing remember to keep a couple clicks of throttle on till it is just about to touch down .......other than that have fun you will like it I like mine .....good luck

I have this plane with a BME 50 and a JTEC pitts muffler. It flies good. I think mine is around 14 or 15 lbs. It is a bit on the heavy side but I've added a piece of aluminum to the inside of the landing gear to strengthen it up.
Be sure to double check your control throws unlike I did. The first couple flights I just about did the plane in. I hadn't noticed that I had two different end points on the elevators and once fixed I love it now. I'm running NiMh 6v on the rec. and a NiMh AA pack for the ign. I have tried a few different props and like the NX, PT Carbon, and Vess. I did manage to break the tail wheel off last time. The metal wire broke right at the carbon pivot point. Some people don't like the Sullivan Tail wheel brackets but I seem to have the best luck with them myself. |

By the way I am running 5625's on the elevators and 5645's on the ailerons and a 5945 on the rudder.
I also put a smoke system in mine but have since removed it to save some weight. Sure LOVE the gas. So easy to tune and run. |

I flew one of these for a while on the Saito 220, ended up getting rid of the motor because it had a drinking problem. Put a DA 50 on the nose and it was ballistic, great begginer plane for moving up to the big stuff. Definitely stay on the throtle until you have the mains on the ground.

You should be alright with the ZDZ40. Mine has an Evolution 45 (43cc) with Vess 22A and has great vertical and decent punch from hover.

Do you have your Moki mounted horizontal and does it clear the cowl? I have a Moki 1.80 (finest running 2-stroke glow I ever had) and a good deal on the H-9 260. However I do not want to mount the engine inverted or cut a big round hole in the cowl. |

Hey Nick,
Nice plane, I picked mine up over the summer It flys great. my is Electric 13lb w/li-po's 2700.watts w/22"x10 Xoar prop. the landing gear is real weak once it delame's put them in a vise and use some thin CA it will hold for a while. also be shure to use blue loctite on all the control linkage screws. enjoy Ron |

its horizontal, and i am using the large volume bisson pitts style muffler, running 0%nitro, and 20% castor based oil.
