Quick question for you guys,
I currently own a AXI 2808/24 and a JETI 30 amp SC. I am looking at a smaller plane....which obviously requires a smaller outrunner. Could I use a smaller outrunner which only requires a 18 amp SC with my 30 amp SC? So basically can I use a AXI 2212/26 with a my 30 amp JETI SC? Will there be any side effects\unforseen problems with using a SC that's too large for the motor? Thanks Guys, Neo |

Think of it as having too much motor. You can always use it later on a bigger project.

You will be fine. if its a smaller motor with a bigger ESC, its ok. If vise versa there is HUGE problems. lol. The oly problem you would have is weight. If your looking for a smaller plane, it will fly better when its lighter, and that 30A esc is pretty heacy compared to a 10a ESC...

Those were my thoughts.......I just wanted to check to be sure. I'm about the newest of nubes when it comes to electrics. As far as the weight penalty....
21 grams (3/4 oz.), 18 Amps continuous, 28 grams (1.0 oz.), 30 Amps continuous So it isn't that bad overall. Thanks for the replies....... Neo |

You can so that,
HOWEVER the ESC is worked the hardest when at 1/2 throttle. This setting puts the most load on an ESC, so you might see it getting a little warmer. Other then that it should will work.
