This is a fantastic plane. I've had one for a couple years now with a 3MM 53cc in it with a stock muffler running a Vess 22A prop. The plane is rock steady as Pat said and the power is great. Oh, and NO I did not have to cut that ring. Cowl goes on fine.

Well, Finally finished and flew mine. I love it! It flies better than the V1, whichi is saying quit a bit. Tried to upload a picture, but it wouldn't let me....says my file is too big?! That I have to resize it manually but I don't know how to do this! Sorry my computermanship is not up to it. Any way, it's a fabulous airplane.

Here a build thread you might get some info, I would go with a lighter engine.

I've been flying mine now for several months with a DL-50. Nice flying plane... floats. Floats so much actually that if my engine idles anywhere above 1850 rpm I can't land it! It just drifts across the full ~600 foot runway a few feet from the ground and won't lose any more altitude. Hovering is easy with it, harriers are really nice and smooth with little to no wing rock. Knife edge is really clean with almost no coupling at all. One way is a bit cleaner than the other way, but that seems typical with Edge airframes. I really like mine. Well made, and strong too. I flipped it over once when the landing went long and it hit the tall grass, no damage at all. Landing gear is nice and springy, saves damage to the rest of the plane if you make a harder than desired landing. Usually jumps back into the air briefly, but it settles right back down.
