For the new Spectrum JR, Futaba-Hitec modules...... The module systems are DSM2 technology, they are not compatible with DSM1 receivers, so the AR6000/BR6000 for the DX6 TX will not work with the Spectrum JR, Futaba-Hitec module TX systems. Can't be used with your inexpensive 6ch Spectrum Park Flyer RXs (not so good). |

Paul,
I have seen no mention about ModelMatch and ServoSync with the modules. I assume that the support for those features in in the DX7 is not available in the modules. It looks like a comparison between a DX7 (and a mythical DX9) versus a 9C or 9303 with a module be something like: Faster Servo Response DX7 ModelMatch and ServoSync DX7 Use 72 hz and 2.4 G hz Module Timers set to throttle Module Any other differences? |

The AR6100 parkflyer receiver is DSM2, lighter and smaller than the AR6000, and will work with these modules.

The modules cannot work with the DX6 parkflyer RX. But they can work with the 6100 DX7 parkflyer RX. It is a light weight, small 6 channel RX so is perfect for your small planes and foamies. The module system will cover foamies to Giant Scale.

The lack of compatability with DX6 receivers is a problem unless Spectrum or Horizon is going to offer free/inexpensive trade in upgrades for these "older" RXs

There should still be a market for that receiver since there will be a lot of entry level pilots using the DX6 as a beginner radio. A couple of extra receivers are always a good thing to have when you fly foamies, it's nice to have a back-up ready.

The Spektrum Modules Only 8 channels on the 14MZ. And you have to set your Xmitter to PPM (FM) to get it to work, so you won't have Failsafe.
Still waiting for Xtreme link! But still cool and nice!

The 9 channel receiver for JR appears to have 9 channel slots plus 2 additional slots that are perpendicular to the 9 channels. Are there additional slots for battery inputs? I'm hoping so because I have a 35% plane that uses 8 channels for servos and needs 2 more slots for my dual batteries. Otherwise, if you had to use 2 of your channel slots for batteries you'd only have 7 channels left for servos.
