How do you figure that?? First, JR does not own Spektrum, or at least Paul Beard and Horizon don't think so. SO that makes your statement hard to understand.

Second, if SS is so critical for you there are two systems for now (Spektrum and XPS) that will work.

Third, I sincerely doubt that Futaba is unaware of the market trend, so I am confidant that they will have something as well.

But finally, the 14MZ is SO much more than just the RF deck. If all you are concerned about is the RF deck, buy a DX-6. If that works for you then the 14 is truly a waste of money.

However, I love my 14MZ for its ease of programming, flexibility, and ability to solve even my most complex programming issues. The RF deck is secondary to me. I may eventually go SS, but since I have not had a glitch in I cannot remember how long and I also fly ham band and essentially always make sure I am on a channel all by myself (thanks to the synthesized ham band RF ability of the 14MZ) I am not in all that big of a rush.

But I cannot see any way that the 14MZ has been "left in the dust". Especially by JR since they have zero to do with the new modules from Spektrum.

The side ports are for the secondary RXs you can use. As far as your battery plugs go, use a "Y" on any channel, works like a charm. You do NOT have to plug a battery into a port all by itself.

That was answered a little earlier Tony, 1 is for batt. and 1 is for the data connection for an onboard data module, don't remember what he called the module, but it gave you a bunch of on board and in flight info.

I have also seen photos showing up to two of the secondary RXs plugged into the side ports.

I have a question on the speed of the system. It was stated similar to pcm. Pcm 512,1024,2048? I had one of the original dx6 radios and sold it because of the latency issue.

Several folks have been running the DX7 and power expander with no probs, I dont see why this new system would be any different.

I couldn't find it. I e-mailed my bud I fly with and he agreed that it didn't support failsafe. But hey we all want to know! All this is happening so fast. So maybe in a few days it will all be understood after I read and talk to others at the club about it! I think it is great! I love to be able to fly and not fear the board!

thanks Later

Bunky, the biggest news to hit the hobby in lord knows how long, and you're asking about the neck strap! I had no idea these were that cool! I'll make sure to cough mine up for some point for an FG raffle. I got mine at the AMA show in January. Maybe Danny can tell us where we can find one of these gems as well.

And on a side note, congrats to the HH & Spektrum crew - you succeed in crashing and severly overloading FlyingGiants today with this announcement..

Videos? You betcha guys.

FK, go through the thread, answers are within and have been answered by HH. Failsafe is supported although configured different than we are used to.
