I think it was posted earlier, but we do have the Spektrum neck straps available. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=SPMP300
The JR system will work with any aircraft JR system that uses a plug in module.

Speed of the system as I've mentioned before will be as fast as the existing PCM systems or faster. It is not as fast as the DX7 or a PPM system.

Like I said - not debating - just seeking clarification about the "clocking speed". Either way - modules are DEFINITELY "slower" than the DX 7, correct? |

Yup, I was the culprit for the neck strap question!!! They are UBBER COOL!!!!!
Now, just to get in line for the module/Rx combo!!!! Would be pretty cool to have a neck strap come with the combos. And then add on $10 to the combo price!!! *grins*Chris~ PS- Max, you junk-meister!! And to think I could have had one LONG before everyone else. Max you are so selfish!!! HAHAHAH!!!!! Smile man. Only giving you trash!!!

The module systems do use the PPM train from the TX, yes. But it isn't quite as fast as PPM as it must convert to the Spektrum modulation. With the module system, the speed is the same or faster than PCM systems.
Yes, they are slower than the DX7 and any future systems that are developed from the ground up for Spektrum.

Could you please build an end-pin version of the AR6100 ? There are many of us who prefer this configuration. There are many who can use nothing else. It would be a Good Thing. I am disappointed that the new modules will not work with the AR6000 receivers like the DX7 does. I have four of them and a JR 8103 Xmtr. I was looking forward to being able to convert this excellent transmitter. For now, I shall continue to use my JR6102/DX6 conversion and wait for further developments. Speaking of which: If Nomadio is able to make a transmitter that works with my existing AR/BR6000s, I shall likely buy one. Karlton Spindle is responsible (I believe) for the truly excellent usability of the Multiplex Xmtrs and he now works for Nomadio. As I am sure you are aware, Karlton is asking us what we want in the way of features and is incorporating much of what he is being told by us. Although my JR Xmtrs function very well, holding one of them is like trying to get comfortable with a handful of sharp rocks. The great majority of the current transmitters remind me of those lumpy "Ghetto Blaster" radios we see in the discount stores. I realize that you folks are very busy getting this technology out to us and I truly appreciate the fact that you are. However, sticking this technology into a JR/Futaba/HiTec case (pick one) is a little like stuffing a modern computer into an old Frieden mechanical calculator housing. Give us an Ipod instead -- please? Joe Minton Last edited by Joe Minton; 02-23-2007 at 11:44 AM. |

spectrumrc / Danny - folks at Horizon
I agree with Joe - Multiplex radios have very nice ergonomics and a simple to use programming interface. It would be very nice to see a from the ground-up 2.4 system with these great ergonomics, simple programming and familiar Jr/Futaba/Japanese style programming. My wish list would be basically the features of a 14mz, the case of a Royal Evo-12, a huge clear easy to read B&W screen, a wheel style programming interface ala Multiplex, gimbles that tilt, rotate, have heavy springs, adjustable tension, detent and height, LiIo battery (like 4000mah) and of course Spektrum 2.4 guts ![]() Wishfull thinking...? |

People on other forums has noticed what appears to be edited pictures of the 12/14MZ modules...The area in question is the bottom of the module, where a pigtail can be seen here...(excuse the blank area, scroll down for more)
Pigtail shadow, but no pigtail... The "official" picture from Horizon shows no pigtail... The suspicion is that the module is getting it's information from the trainer port, and this is not being accurately representeted. I'd like the Spectrum reps to comment on the apparent editing of the pictures of the 12/14MZ module. I'd accept that these pictures are of a protoype that didn't make the final cut. However, Horizon is accepting pre-orders for a stated late April delievery. Is that module going to have a 2nd cord like the pictures suggest, or have they eliminated it? Smart Dudes,
How much better is the RF link on the R9000 vice the R7000? I want to set up a 40%er and a 35%er and I can map out the servos to one R9000 and one R7000 in each plane while leaving at least 3 ports per RX for battery or reg input. I don't use Y's. If the R9000 is really XX% better I'll probably just get 4 of those. |

Last word I had was that the this may not be a final version. True they jumped the gun in all probability, and it would have been better just to fess up, but there it is.
So cable, no cable, we will all have to decide if the solution works for us. And again, these are ALL interim steps. In a very short time I think we will see all radios as SS and will look at this the way I do at the CD to cassette adapter I used to have in my cars. Now I use MP3!! But for now we will have to be happy with RETROFITTING our current transmitters if we want to take advantage of SS on them.
