One question, I see guys mentioning trays. A lot of us fly full house gliders with neck straps, the current antenna balances out the radio nicely. Will it still balance with the 2.4 aerial or are we all going to need to get a tray?Cheers, Les.

Paul/Spektrumrc,
I have a question on the Futaba MZ 2.4Ghz module . . . . . . . How have you managed to get around the problem of 'region locking' (or changing/swopping standard modules) on the MZ TX? ? ? ? How does this work then? ? ? ? Have you been given the code, by Futaba, to allow the TX to read the new module? ? ? ? Can I have it if you have . . . .LOL Just a question I would love to hear the answer to as this module change thing on the MZ is a major problem. Cheers Davie |

ah-ha, I wondered when someone would ask that, very good question. No, we have not been given any code by Futaba. But we have found a solution Sorry in advance for the bad answer. Paul |

Hi Paul,
I have been asking this question on MZ gear since I got mine back in June 2005. . . . Never had an answer yet. Good to see you may have cracked it. Does this mean I get a test unit for evaluation as I am the first to ask the damning question then.?????????? Davie Last edited by Davie Matthews; 02-22-2007 at 07:38 PM. |

I still use an old (like it's owner) Futaba 8UAFS - got everything I want to have - The *8 uses the same module as the 7c and 9c. The Spektrum website quotes both the 7 and 9 - but does not mention the 8. I'd like to go to 2.4. Is the module compatible with the 8U?

Can the conversion use the smaller spectrum recievers? IE, park flyer style like the Dx7 has or is the ar9000 the only one it can use at this time? (in april?)

Just to clear up a reciever compatiblity question that's been rattlin' around in my mostly empty head...
Will the Futaba module work any of the AR7000 Spektrum recievers? Even if they originally were for the DX7? (I've still got this positive/negative shift thing going on...) Thank you to Paul for the technology. Dave |
