Belt CP Pics! Info! Review!

i figured id start a fresh thread.. dedicated to the belt cp, first thoughts, package was a lil banged up, tho it was inside a bigger box for shipping,, no damage to heli tho, parts look to be good quality. a few skrews loose, still going though that check over.. main blade skrews kinda tight fit. still working on that.. enuff of my babbling , heres some pics

Rchover.com sells the blinky balancer. ~$30 with the tp adapter. I've been using mine since october, I love it. I put it on, start charging and at the end of the charge cycle its balanced also.

i got the commen sence rc lipo 2100 15c 3cell, 11.1 v pack, and the muilti cell balance charger on the way, should seeit in a few days,, gyro question, do i plug the tail servo into the gyro, then gyro to rx,,, my transmitter manual has the gyro going to ch 6,, and rudder on normal rudder ch,, i hope not cuz i want ch 6 for retracts later on down the road, heheh hitec eclipes if any ones got one set up

it goes rx-gyro-servo. Most gyro's have 2 leads. One is the rudder channel(4) and other lead is remote gain (5). Channel 6 is always the collective channel. On Eccpm 1 and 6 are interchangable. If it only has one lead it should go in the rudder channel and you control the gain manually on the gyro itself.

dang this is confusing hahah, like the challenge tho,, i had it set up for 120 swash,, with the left side in ch 1, front pitch ch 2 and the 3rd was on 6 i think.. this esky gryo has a in and out lead,, i will put it between the tail servo and the rx , im gonna try to barrow a micro gauge tool from work to measure the linkages and get then equaled out, and set things level,,, what would be a start poistion for the tail blades, i pluged it in and it went all the way to one side...

For the tail, try to get the arms and bellcranks to be at 90 degrees. Here's a good site for general setup info. You don't have a raptor, but the same principles apply. Lots of great info on here. www.raptortechnique.com

would that be 90 degrees with 0 pitch onthe tail blades?? im guess there will always be some pitch to keep the heli pointed forward haha, checking site out ,, could you copy what you paged me about the battery timer.. on here so its public info, thanks

No prob. Charge lipos with a nimh peak charger at 20 amps while wrapped in newspaper next to cans of gasoline. KIDDING!!!!!

With regards to charging lipo's stay @ or below a 1c charge rate ie. a 2100mah pack charge at 2amps or less. Never discharge below 85% of capacity to maintain longevity and always keep them balanced.

You have it backwards. Think of it like a fuel tank. if you use 100% of the tanks capacity you are on empty. 85% used will leave 15% left in your tank.

ahh that makes a bit more sense.. how would that read on a display,, the charger im getting tells me each cell seperatly,, now i guess id have to figure out what to set my max throttle setting in the curve.... pitch i think ill start with -3, 10, ??????? can ya tell im a noob....
