I have had about 20 flights on mine now. Excellent flier. Mine has a DA50, slimline pitts muffler, all digital servos. AUW is 16lbs,10oz dry. That is with using all stock parts. I could lighten it up some by changing the wing tube from heavy aluminum, and I mean heavy, to carbon fiber. Assembly was no problem but the instructions are a joke. I would buy another one.

I just purchase one and not sure if to use a DA 50 or DL 50 any advice?
Can it take an over size servo ?I called them and they did not know much about the plane ,they told me 6 standard servos.
Is there room for big servos or is standard size high torque good enough.
Thanks guys.

What's a good place to purchase servo arms, especially for two servo/rudder connection.
Also what do you recomend for connectors on servos and push rods and where to get them?
My Yak is in the mail so I figure I order the rest of stuff before it gets here it's my first 3D and I need advice on putting it together right!!
Throttle push rod should not be metal for intereference with the electronics, right?
What to use on rudder and elevator push rods?
Uff -thanks guys I got more questions but that's it for now.

I'm sure the Nitroplanes will have a complete hardware package........................

as for servo arms... I like the SWB arms....

I really dout that you will be needing 2 servos in the rudder, as far as arms the same here I only use SWB you can get everything you need at www.troybuiltmodels.com as far as the hardware if you dont like what comes with the kit I always use the hanger-9 swivel and ball links http://troybuiltmodels.com/GHardwareClevises.htm
at the bottom of the same page is the set up I always use on my gassers for the throttle.

My break in prop was a 22x8, or a 22x10. Currently I am using a menz 24x8. The prop that seemed to work the best was a MSC 23x8

I have never had a DL50 but I would say to stay between a 22 x 8 or 23 x 8, there a too many factors that influence the prop you choose so you have to try and see what works for you, I would start out with a 22 x 8 menz and see how it goes.
as far as the wing tube no I don't know the size you are going to have to wait and measure it.
