I bought 11 Dymond 4,7 servoes and they are just great. Presice and good torque.
I really dislike the small Hitecs, have killed 4 of the 55 servo. And why so negative to unitedhobby ? Have tested batteries etc from them with good result, excellent service so far |

unitedhobbies.com is a great place for some good quality gear. Some things I would never buy from them. I got one of there hacker style A20-20L and it is awesome motor. Pulls just as much as the real thing. Although it takes a little longer than usual to get stuff it still is great. Great customer service too. I recieved the wrong item and they sent a new one out without having me to send the wrong one back and no additional shipping no questions asked.
They are good IMO |

why not, there is tottaly nothing wrong with their gear. i have put in 2 orders already and the gear is great. i trust those servos more than hs 55 infact i put them in a extreme flight yak 55 sp and they work awesome. their badass. theres no reason to put high price servos on a foam airplane that you wont have for over a week or 2. i mean yea hitec is great but what is the honest reason for putting a hs 65 on a foamy. u just dont need that much torque. just my 2 cents |

i love united hobbies. there 1300 mah pacs are only an oz more compared to a tp1320 and the c rating is much higher. all of their gear is great. i mean if ur sponsered by hitec then go for it and get the hs 55 but i will never pay 12 or 13 dollars or whatever it is to go on a shock flyer or foamy of some sort knowing that i wont have it no where near as long as my built up wooden electrics or my gassers.

I really appreciate all the input. Is there a need for a servo like the futaba 3145 digital? I guess the only bad thing about the 3114 is the nylon gears. I wonder if there is a metal gear replacement?

I have started using the MPI MX35 with great success. It has good torque/speed for just 6 grams weight.

I would have to say hitec HS-50. they are small stong and light. plus hitecs come with a two year warentee so if you strip them you can send then in and get a new servos no questions asked.

The problem I see with lots of these servos that are being listed is that they are over 6 grams. For example, the HS55 weighs 8 grams and those will make indoor foamies heavier. I think we all know that 4 to 6 oz foamies is the target for indoors. I am looking for a reliable 4 gram servo so I hope Hitec, or someone else for that matter, can produce something.

Good call Jeff, I'm thinking the same thing. I've always had good luck with the hs55's, but they are a little heavy for a 4 to 6 oz foamy. I've been lookin into the S60 from e-flite that may be a winner,
but did i read that right??? a 4GRAM karbonite in the works?? ooooohhh......:-) |

e-flite s60 servos, just put them on a 5.9 oz foamy and they work great. Fast and ligher than the hs-55
