Default how to balance a 3 blade prop

i know how to balance a 2 blade prop and hub. but how do you balance a 3 blade propperly .?

Simply remove weight from the heavy blade/s until it will hold position on the balancer regurdless of position.

balance the same as a 2 blade..... just find which blade/hub area is the heavy one and adjust appropriately

Yes and no, balance the blades the same you would on a 2 blade with the prop vertical on the balancer. There really is no way to balance the hub and it isn't needed anyways. Once the prop will stay put on the balancer in all 3 of these positions you are done.

well if you hang like the one at the right aren't the two blades heavyer than one blade?

nope, because the two blades are at 120 degrees of the horizontal blade, their CGs are closer to the hub and the static blade length is shorter.

Yes, but if that was the case, then you could never use a 3 bladed prop on a plane could ya?

Think of the prop as a disk. A properly balanced disk has to be able to stay in the same position without rotating right? Same with the prop... Makes sense?

Doesn't matter how many blades there are, you're just trying to center the center of mass, if you will.
