Hiya Guys
Ok I am not a noobie totally to this hobby, having owned a Raptor 30v2 and a Raptor 60, but I need some advice with building this little baby ![]() I have just opened the box, started to build, and problem with the flybar and paddle assembly If I remember rightly, it was a fair few moons ago now, the Raptor 30 had flattened sections on its flybar, to stop it twisting when you screwed the paddles down onto it? Not so with the mini Titan! I have painstakingly measured the required 82.5mm at each end before paddles go on, screwed the grub screws in with threadlock onto the flybar to stop it moving, and then begun screwing the paddles on Half way into this process, the flybar starts turning, even though the grub screws are as tight as possible, resulting in a burring around the flybar Also I noticed, on inspection before I undid it all and took it apart, that the flybar control arm seems to flex and distort in the assembly process, it also then makes the mixing levers foul the flybar control arms. Has anyone got a solution for this please, its doing my head in I'm seriously thinking of metal head upgrades as a long term solution, but there not (as far as I know) available in the uk |

I just put together one of these birds. http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...le-help-2.html
I didn't have any problems with the flybar. It doesn't have any flat spots for the flybar, but after the paddles are installed and the bar is tightened it doesn't rotate while in flight. when I put mine on, I got a pair of plyers and held the flybar steady when I installed the paddles. As far as play in the head goes, I don't have any problems, everything is real tight. I used a pitch guage to set up all the curves and I've checked them a few times after the initial run ups and their dead on so far. I've yet to really put this heli through it's paces but I've seen video and it's incredible.

Sorry man, I dont know of any metal upgrades at this time. Nitrohuffer might know of some. For some reason when I was in idle 1 and 2 the tail would drift to the left. Turns out that on each rate I have seperate sub trims. So on idle 2 and 3 I put some rudder trim in. Took that out now everythings fine.
So I'm gona do some flights on monday and if I'm feelin good I'll try some loops and rolls.

Peperami,
TT is coming out with some bling for this heli, but it's just that. Just make sure everything is tightened to the point of just causing sticktion, then back the screw out a 1/4 turn. Make sure there is no binding with your servo throws and should be ready to rip. |

FYI I always put the paddles on first then tighten it down. Just make sure to measure the distance per the manual.

I have managed it finally
![]() I thought about it for a while... few coffee's.... and then used the flybar I had managed to snarl up first time around to thread the paddles first When on no trouble at all then, didnt thread it to the end obviously so there was some bite left, but its looking good..... trouble is im building when time permits in the evenings after work, I have only just assembled the head and I started building nearly a week ago! "time permits" is short for "when the other half allows me to build it LOL Chris |
