Vern, glad it all worked out. Dave and everyone at DA are first class. Hell they even pulled a friend of mines engine apart at Nall while it was on the plane and replaced a cylinder for him on the spot !! When I noticed how close you were to them the personal visit only made sence. Welcome to the giants !!! Let us know how the maiden goes on the 35% carden !!!

Verne, I am very happy to see that you got your engine repaired and running. I will only run DA in my larger aircraft for the same reason as you. Welcome to the Giants.
Now for the few jumpy guys. Just remember, God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. Do the math. Mike Darr |

great news vernonf, we thought DA would come through for you as they have for many of us.
when i bought my first DA 100 there was nobody in my area that flew them so i had no help in setting it up or tuning. i think i did everything in the book wrong and spent a lot of time on the phone with the guys at Desert Aircraft. they always where willing to help and not make me feel stupid for being new. latter i crashed that plane and sent the engine back in to be checked out and they replaced all damaged parts and bench tested the engine only charging for parts and freight. also had it fixed and shipped in two days. now thats sevice and when i needed a new engine for the next plane i ordered a DA 100 again. now i am building a 41% extra and the new 3W 170 looks great but i have the DA 150 on the way. you just can't turn away from a company that is this good at what they do. randy racer |
