I sent my Sypher's in a crate similar to Manuel's. I sent it to myself and went to pick it up the same day I flew in. The only problem with this method is if it gets there to early they will sent it back. So make sure you can go get it before the companys deadline. I'm not sure what I'm going to do this year. I know that some of the guys sent them to the Seagate. Maybe TNT Tom can help us out to. His shop is in Toledo. Jason

Leseberg had a coffin looking contraption that Asher made for him.. Cool, but probably overkill John. You could accomplish the same by removing the wings and shipping in a stout cardboard box. I'm sure others have some great suggestions as well.

I think Leseberg had one half built so it was flat. Then he assembled it before the event.

If any pilots would like to ship it to TnT and feel it's safe in my hands then feel free to do that. I could bring them with me on set up day of the trade show on Thursday.

box it up and bring it on the plane with you. Just go on he airlines website and check the dimensions they allow. Thats how Shulman and I brought two 2m pattern airplanes with us one year to toledo.

Well, currently we're pulling the back seats out of the plane and setting them there..... If weather turns, then they'll ride for 12 hours in the back of the truck as I drive up.....
A case like Manuel and Lese's seems to be the best bet for airfair. You could possibly tell them its a bicycle. Most airlines will ship a bicycle for a fairly reasonable charge.... --> http://www.aa.com/aa/pubcontent/en_U...eAllowance.jsp |

I just checked my airline (northwest) and they have a 70 pound luggage limit, didnt have a demention limit listed, Im prity sure I can get a crate with 2 planes in it below 70 lbs, but do I want to trust my planes to a baggage worker making 8 bucks an hour....

I shipped a crate that was 80x24x22 for 100$ insured through DHL when I sold my 50cc Ultimate, and the crate weighed 100 pounds. So that might be an option for you, it should be way less than 100 pounds. At the end of the event, you might want to consider tearing your gear out, tossing the foamy and throwing the gear in your suitcase. Even if you paid full pop for the foamy, its probably less than shipping it back in a wood crate.
