I currently own Jtec and Wild hare planes as well as a few others.
The WildHare and the Jtec are nothing like each other in respect to construction.. Both planes are VERY well built, just very different, and both planes fly amazingly well. Man... to be honest... I would have a hard time picking between those two. Go with whatever color tickles your fancy... because really you can't go wrong with any of them, but I can tell you that personally I have experienced great customer support from WH and JTEC. Hope that helps a little.

Dont worry tom he didnt ruin your plane as a choice. Sleepy if you had to choose, which would it be??? Or which did you vote for??? Every suggestion carries alot of weight with me. Especially from some one that owns both. I have heard that the jtec is an imac monster so that is real attractive for me. Also the added wing area looks nice.

To me both the J-Tec and Wildhare are the best looking Extras out there. Very pretty lines. I'm sure that setup properly any of your choices will do a very nice job.

I am setting up a WH right now. Though I have not flown it yet I am very happy with the fit and finish.

I've flown the J'Tec/Radiowave . .good plane, a bit draggy and not as crisp as I like it. BIG plane that flies well. Almost lethargic in snaps, especialy on vertical lines. Due to the size I would not get one. Really requires a 160-200 cc engine or fully piped 157. . 150's pull it but they have to work harder to get the job done, especially with a 3-blade prop.
Have not flown the SD260. I have a problem dealing with that company. Wild Hare 300 is a better bird than the Radiowave IMO. Less drag, crisper, a rocket ship with a DA-150 on the nose, and slightly smaller but incredibly smooth like the bigger Radiowave. Getting 5-6 vertical snaps and keeps on humping. Flies a lot like my Superxtra, but the roll is more axial. Due to increased side area it's going to KE better than the SD260. I fly mine at 3/4 throttle or less for anything but vertical snaps. The Radiowave requires a LOT of engine to pull it, and you are on the gas a lot more. Radiowave w/CF tube: 1675+ shipping SD 260 w/cf tubes: About 1450 (1299+tubes) + shipping Wild Hare: 1295, includes CF tubes, use your own hardware All in all the WH300 is a better deal money-wise My vote goes for the Wild Hare. All 3 would give you any performance you want, after that its up to the pilot. An Addendum: There are NO hingeing issues with the new Wild Hares .. very tight hingeing, wide support form brass bushings, and CF rods. Any rumors to the contrary are FALSE.

I am leaning towards the jtec currently but the thing that I dont like about it is the low wing.

"Real problems" suggests widespread failures. Not true, the problems were restricted to a few planes and they were really manufacturing defects more than design issues. "tom will fix it" implies that the problem still exist, also not true. You have suggested that if someone buys a new plane they will have problems with the hinging system which is absolutely incorrect. TF |

The Key issue that narrows the choice down to one but makes that one the winner by far is that when it comes down to it if you don't want to get stuck with a piece of junk is that

I love my Wildhare. The best way to explain it is that it just flies right. Does everything well and can be overpowered with any of the current 150 cc engines. When looking for a 40% plane one of my criteria was a midwing. I just like the way rolls present better with a midwing.Get the one you want but I can tell you that you will be pleased with the Wildhare. Dan |

I was thinking about the mid wing. I just want the price to drop to the 330 first.
