I am helping a friend set this plane up and had a few questions for people who have actually flown this airframe. Is the wingtube a good place to start the CG? We cant seem to get a answer even after talking to AI and cactus. Any Idea where a good place to start aileron diff at? Right know at full throw I have it set for 5 degrees less down travel.
I am definately open to any lessons learned while you guys were flying 1 of these. |

Andy I just always start ailerons same deflection both directions until the first flight to see exactly what it needs. Might not need any at all.. never know. As far as the CG, I don't think you can go wrong with on the wing tube or slightly forward.

I had one of the FMG Caps, I think they are about the same, it's real light for it's size, flew decent on a 150, even better on the 200! It was tail heavy with the 150 and cans, had the batts all the way up front, and it was still touchy. Flew like a pussycat, no bad habits, even for a Cap!!!!

My dad and I picked a 3W Cap about 2months ago. We just received the 3W200ts in the mail yesterday and so far my dad and I are very happy with the looks of the airframe.
I am about to start a build thread on mine soon. Here are some pictures......
