Default FROMECO CUBE CHARGE TIME

How long has anyone elses cube charged for? Mine has been charging for over 3 hours and hasnt charged yet. Just got this charger and my other regular lithium charged at about 3 hours also. Is this normal for 4000 mah fromeco batteries?

if its a low batt......then 3hrs is about right.

What amps? I hope at least 2.0-2.5

Also if your powersupply isn't putting out the amps then it will take longer

After my last flight I checked my batts. Under a 1 amp load the charge red 7.1 and 7.2 on the other. I have 3 charging at the same time. I am running a 5 amp powersupply.

I don't think 5 amp is enough I believe on the old fromeco charger a 15 amp power supply was recommended. Even on my Tritin they recommend a 10+amp power supply.

Wow at best your charging at about 1.3 amps per pack so settle in with a book and a cold beer and wait.

You need at least a ten amp power supply and a fifteen will be assured of doing the job.

On the Ion cube with 3 ports, the 5 amp power supply is what is needed according to there site. If I am charging 3 lithiums at 1.5 amps that equals 4.5 amps total at use. I still have 1/2 an amp left. Why run more amps when they arent needed. You cant put anymore amps into the batteries if the charger wont allow it. Fromeco and I got the charger squared away. They said my powersupply was fine. There customer service is awesome.

I also have the new cube charger and am running it on a 25AMP supply. I think I will like the charger but must say the instructions are just a little sort on information. Like what does it mean when the blue light fashes and doesn't stop. Gotta mean something. Is there a proper sequence to hook stuff up and turn it on. How do you know when your are done and what is the voltage cutoff.

Mine doesn't seem to want to start a charge if one of the batteries is above about 7.9 volts. Is that right? Like I said, I think the instructions could use some improvement.

at 7.9 the batteies don't need charging anyways.you can scroll thru the channels and each one has two readouts the second one shows the mill amps used to recharge the batteries and the voltage they are at when done charging.the blue light goes out completely when the charge cycle is complete

Well I got my Charger today thanks to Jagerbomb picking it up at Aerographix headquarters on Thursday. Let me tell you this is the bomb. This thing is so easy to use you cant believe it. Plug in the monitor card and the additional charge ports and you are ready. Of course put the cover back on. I have 4 4800 on right now at 2.5amps and its screeming. Bad ass little dude. HATS OFF TO THE BOYS @ FROMECO AGAIN!!!!!!

Thanks,

Jason Cohenh
