Default SailPlane Event Possible

Hi,, this is someting iv wanted to do for a while, now that i got a few club members into the glider thing im trying to talk them into hosting a sailplane 'fun -fly' or compitition. we have tons of air space at our club feild on top of a old land fill the cut section is 800 ft by 100 ft, but the area is huge with slopes on all sides makes for fun wind days... we are locatied in Elizabethtown Kentucky with some help i beleave we could make a great time out of this. anyone interested let me know and opinions are welcome. heres a pic of the site

PS anything that flys is also welcome.. but during such an event gliders have the airspace do to lines and launch methods involveing cords onthe field

OK Mike,

You can most likely count me in on any event such as this. Do you have a date in mind? I'll PM you.

Hi Folks, I'm just the messenger, Alec Taylor from down in the cold end of NZ asked me to publish these pictures for him. Its pretty obvious why, he hasn't got time to do it himself, he's too busy building...whew !

Alex writes.....
Hi Barrie, Here is that Southerner I was telling you about. 1 at 60 inch and 1 at 84 inch, both elec, the scale gliders are , the blue 1 is a kirby kite, the other a k18. both at quarter scale. The 2 red ones are for elec. duration. other 2 are thermal machines, a hornet and a prima. The wee 1 is a shoulder wrecker(hlg). 3 "inspecters" waiting for the call to duty and daughters dog getting stuck into my sock. would you pass these onto flying giants for me They go into the sailplane talk section. thanks ..... Alex.

Alex if this is not the right section to publish in, you can put a post on to refer back to here,

ATB, Barrie.

tripple tow no problem. left and right pilot need to stay apart. if you have a learner in the pack put them on the long line and tell them to stay low, out of harms way. alex
