Default Shipping costs!

Whats up with shipping costs?:24:

I bought some new gear, they charged me 17 bucks to ship 33% Carbon landing gear about 300 miles UPS ground!
About a month ago I ordered a plug and some prop bolts for my ZDZ and the shipping was 9 bucks and it was in a freaking envelope!

I suspect most of the bigger co. make more money off shipping than actaul sales. 15 or 20 bucks is still better than having to go some where to buy stuff.

I agree with you Jaybird and I'm a manufacture. UPS and FED X just keep going higher and higher and that don't include that stupid fuel surcharge we have to pay every month. At TnT we will even call you guys if we feel the charge is way out of line and ask if you still want it shipped overnight or second day like some of you request. Trust me, I'm not making a dime off shipping. As matter of fact by the time you add in box cost and the person packing it I'm losing a little. I can't speak for all the manufactures but I for one am trying to keep that cost down to you guys as long as I can.

I hear ya, I sold a spinner a few months ago for 20$ shipped. I could not find a box so by the time I bought one and paid shipping I only got about 4 bucks for the spinner. Never again!!

That is why I prefer USPS over UPS anyday. The cost is less and I believe the service is better. I have ordered stuff that comes in an envelope and was shipped UPS. The charge for USPS would be much less and faster also. I wish some vendors would offer this option when you check out.

Radical RC ships all their products to you USPS for a flat rate of 2 bucks, you can't beat that and if you're going to use NiHm batteries theirs are just as good as anyone's out there. Dave Thacher will make ext. leads any lenghts for no extra cost also it's a great deal !

Go to Kinkos or their equal and price the packing materials used - add 1/4 hour or more for the part timer goofing around packing er up - and well there it is.
I write the added "shipping" cost off to not paying Fla. 7% sales taxes. Usually works out for the better.

Figure: New DA50, KS muffler and Header, 5 Hitec 5985's, Spectrum DX7 receiver, and well hell, I'll pay the $35 shipping in a heartbeat and feeing really good. Now I can justify upping the 'ante' on my battery's ma.

How about this guys, bought a CF carb plate from a larger company and they charged me $18 to ship it.... and they did it without telling me how much shipping was going to be. Don't you think they could of droped it in an envelope and mailed it???

I was pretty ugly, so I wrote them a email, in a very respectable fashion and to no surprise didn't hear anything back.

That will be the last place I buy from again.
