Well, for those of you that didn't show, you missed a really fun day. The only sad note was when my Fliton Extra was destroyed thanks to a $10 fun flyer.
Now for the pics.

Actually Scott was the coordinator of the event, the announcer, for the most part, was a gent named Rick from out club.
Scott's dad was the CD. That's me with the very large belly and the suntanned head in Dennis' post

I got to the field around 9a.m. and it was already warm out. Scott and Mike Pavlok were setting up cover for the charging stations and organizing radio impound. Mike ordered LipoSacks for charging just in case of a fire. I have to thank Mike for getting these as this won't be the last time I use them. Around 9:30 Scott put on a pilots meeting to cover the usual as well as advice for charging to avoid a mishap.
The flight line opened promptly at 10 and the first flight was made with a GWS Piper Cub flown by David (some one please remind me of his last name, I can never remember it). Shortly there after he took up his scratch built Sukhoi and flew some beautiful scale aerobatics. Around 11:00 a lot more pilots began to arrive. They brought everything from flat foamies, epp planes, scratch builts, Arfs, and Scott Pavlok brought a 2m Funtana (its the white and purple one in the pics). One father and son team must have brought al least 10 electric planes for the day. The flight line stayed busy most of the day. With a max of 5 planes in the air at once some pilots found themselves waiting for a turn. There were two breaks during the day for a electric U control demonstrations. For anyone who has never seen a control line plane fly it can be quite a show. I was dizzy just watching the pilots. I brought out my Fliton Extra 330. On the second flight of the day (and second flight ever) a small push prop fun flyer flaired up when it was hit by a wind gust and I hit it with my wing tip. You can see the resulting damage in the pics. Scott and myself spent a lot of time describing the ins and outs of larger electric planes. Scott more so than me. He was very busy helping out a lot of people intrested in electric flight. I would like to thank Scott and Mike Pavlok for organizing such a great event. I also want to thank Castle Creations for donating a lot of Phoenix and Thunderbird speedos, as well as Berg receivers that were raffeled off throught the day. I really can't wait for next year. I already have plans to build a 27% Electric plane as well as rebuilding the Fliton. Everyone really seemed to enjoy the day. Even some of the hard-core gas only pilots had a good time. Hope fully the club can extend the event to 2 days next year.

Great pics Scott. I posted a story if you missed it but I think you could fill in some gaps.
