Area 51 By RC Extreme Power and JC Engines on stock side dump muffler.

5th tank of gas with 32-1 lawnboy, 15 foot ASL, 83 degrees and likely 90% humidity...been raining all morning.

Vess 23A gets 7000 on a hot engine.

Default Hobby City FTL26

18 hours running. 30 - 1 mineral oil. 93 Octane fuel. NGK BPMR6F Plug (this made a very noticable improvement). 16X8 G-Sonic. 4.8v Ignition Battery.

Max 8250 Min 2100

I have recently stripped this engine to investigate some end float. This turned out to be movement of the rear bearing caused by electric starting. This could be easily shimmed out, but I chose to reseat the bearing (interference fit - heat the casing) and hand start in future. Now that I am confident at hand starting (big glove), all is well. I don't use choke as I can easily jam a thumb up the intake. As soon as fuel is evident in the intake, a couple of flicks starts it.

I was very impressed by the quality of castings and componants of this engine. I see no reason why it should not give years of service.

Best $170 ever spent!

DA-150 on KS rear exit Cans broken in (gallons unknown)
Amsoil at 50-1
82 degrees F
59% Humidity
15 foot ASL
Fuchs 29x12 Three Blade

5900 rpm cold 5800 rpm hot.

Can someone reccomend a 2 blade wood prop size for a similar configuration?

Pe what would be a good prop constant to assign this prop? BallparK?.

Thanks guys,

Richard

The Fuchs seem to have a wider tip than Mejzlik, so a wild guess would be ~1.7
I have no data on Fuchs props, so cannot be very sure. Just went by the picture at

Thanks Pe!! Anybody else running the 150 on KS with a two blade reccomendation. The plane is 41# and the style will be mostly freestyle with some IMAC and 3D mixed in.

What canister and/or pipe do you run? power seems to be in the pitts type muffler range
If a prop has less than half the diameter in pitch, it becomes less effective. Instead of choosing forrpm, you might try to load the engine and prop a bit more, like a 23x10 or 22x10 or even 22x12. he latter will give better spool-up, but needs lower idle for landing.

Why run a 35cc pipe on the 26cc? The 3266 pipe is unsurpassed in power. Skorepa is equal, all others fall short.

Pe,
I am running an EVO 26GX with the Karl Mueller header and the 26cc tuned pipe from Horizon. Karl includes a small piece of pipe for tuning the engine. I have no experience with doing so. Can you help or point me to some information that might be of assistance.
Thanks,
Rob
