I can tell right now that the factory 9c battery is not going to last long. Does anyone know who has a direct replacement over 1800mah. I dont want to make a pack, Just want a good replacement and long lasting battery. Thanks

Fromeco makes a 2700mah NiMh. I checked the dimensions on mine, it should work. They can't be reached by phone 'til Monday. Link:http://www.fromeco.org/atranzorker%20packs.htm

Man you opened a can of worms there..Good question...
FOR ME: I have had a lot of luck for many years..Well lets say since they opened in 2003. Cheap battery pack dot com. I have had nothing but good luck with them. They are on the Northwest Coast and only charge 3 to 4 dollars to send the batteries to the Northeast Coast priority mail instead of the ridiculous shipping prices some of these others charge for a battery pack or in your case a TX battery. I have a 9C (not the Super) as a back up TX (which is on the swapshop for sale for $200.00) and I have a back up battery for it also and never have had to use it. What I did was swapped them out from time to time to use it. I hear so many say NBS is the best place. I have never had them yet. I have heard bad things about the other place that I will not name to protect them but I haven't had nothing but good luck with them also. So I cannot agree with all that. I run a 40% with that company so many seem to dislike. Their customer service was really BAD and they charge a ridiculous amount for shipping. So I will say these 3 would be your best bet from my experience. Now customer service? The best I have ever had and they would even send an extra battery or pay for shipping if I ever encountered any problems which was twice...CBP was the best I have ever dealt with.. This is just from my experiences...

I buy mine from MPI. I use a 2100mah Nimh pack, it will run the transmitter for at least 8 hours. Cost about $40 I think. They havea 2500mah cell now too, I believe.
I tried the Fromeco Li pack and it worked fine until I left it on overnight, that killed the pack. At $80 (or something like that) per pack it's too expensive for this application. The Nimhs are more durable, they don't get ruined when you fully discharge them. TF |

I just went through this with my 9C. I had an 1100mah MPI battery that lost a cell, I just ordered the 2700mah pack from Fromeco.
*edit* one thing I should add is that Fromeco recommends charging this battery out of the transmitter. Not really a big deal but worth mentioning. Last edited by CSpaced; 03-29-2007 at 11:25 AM. |

I use 2dogrc's 1800 Li-po in my 9C but it's been replaced with a 2500 mah now. Works great in the transmitter, doesn't have to be topped off since it keeps it charge longer than NiMH.

Radical-rc has 1800 and 2700 nickel metals. I just got the 1800. 8hrs of on time is enough for me.
