Default For Those Of Us Who Remember The 60's

And if you remember the 60's, you really didn't experience it.

Cool. The pages went a little too fast for me. But yes I remember and experienced the 60's for sure!! But I didn't see anything about RC planes!

I remember the 60's and R/C airplanes pretty vividly. For those who knew them, I grew up across the street from Donnie Weitz and caddy corner to his dad, Don. They both lived R/C. I remember thinking it would be nice to be able to afford that kind of fun. I still can't afford it but I'm having fun!

Yes, my uncle flew the old type where you took you chances! HA HA HA! The old TX that turned by switch's and pots and would click...They also flew a lot of U-Control. He still has a few of the old planes. His son has them. He is 85 now and into Dobro guitars. I was very young but remember it hanging in his house. Back then it was a bunch of electricians that got together and they built their own stuff. He worked at a hospital for over 30 years as an electrician and everything else back then. They built their own CB radios and that was a big thing with them back then. They use to talk over 50 miles on those things back then. I guess 11 meter was clear then! But they built everything and flew and talked with it all!

Thanks, John!! That "clip" warmed the cockels of my heart! I spent my 20's in the 60's. Being a Vietnam Vet, and a proud owner of a '64 Impala (which I still have), I could really enjoy, relate...

Old Dawg,
Long Live Team Vegas!
