Hi,
First of all: this is an AWESOME site! I've been lurking for a loooooong time and now it came time for my first post. ![]() So, I'm building a 50cc Aeroworks Extra 260 and will be using 8611A's. To my surprise - it's become a major hassle finding long 3D arms that fit the splines!!! I'm currently using Airwild MLP arms that work fine on the ailerons (had to epoxy a small piece of spruce under the servos, otherwise the ball link nuts would rub against the wings - the AW arms are really low-profile!)Installing the elevator servos I ran into more issues: the AW MLP arms are so low-profile that they won't clear the stab bolts unless I run the 1" arms (instead of the preferred 1.5"). Any ideas for good 3D arms that will fit the 8611A splines and aren't as low-profile as the AW MLP ones? Thanks guys! Roni in Indy |

Airwild arms are a PITA to get off the servo.......use the JR or SWB arms instead

9.95 is hard to beat, I use the JR arms. SWB for the rudder arms.

I have used both the SWB and the MLP's. I prefer the MLP's over the SWB, my opinion. I have also used the H9(JR) horns. It is all in what you want to use!!

HI Bunky,
I have often wondered if the JR arm only costs 9.95 with packaging , why JR just doesn't provide the arm with the servo and leave out the little plastic arms that no one uses...it would make more sense. I bet if we did a poll...do you use the provided plastic arms and wheels with your 3330z or more servo?? Yes ? / No? the result would be a resounding NO!!! Memo to JR: So just provide the 1.5 inch arm and get it over with. |
