Default Mode Change for xp662

ok guys here is my problem.
i've bought a jr xp662 radio to use as a buddy box.
it's on mode2 and i want to change it to mode1.
i've already changed the sticks to mode1 but is there anywhere in the system to change modes?
i couldn't find anything in the manual.
