Hi dudes..I am the Klown, I would like to ask other 3D pilots that use DA 150 what prop do you use.
The reason I ask is that I have used Mejzlik CF, Bolly wood, Menzs and Vess. On all I have used 32X10. I use the 32A for the Vess.Which all are god props so don't get me wrong there. I have found the Vess to make my engine run better and have more torque power and i see a difference in flat inverted spins, rolling circles, Water falls and many other moves. Are you experiencing any improvement if you use the Vess? Just let me hear your experiences with all Props. I want to know if I am alone..... Klown

I switched from a Mejzlick 32X10 to a Mejzlick 30X12 on my DA150 and MTW cans.
Spools up much quicker and seams to have considerable more pull out of a hover. Just need to watch ripping the prop when its no loaded up.

I use the Prince "P" Tip 31x11 prop. Pull great out of a TR.

The Vess prop makes a lot more airflow over the surfaces at lower RPMs. Prop is awsome for slow high alpha flight. All the sufaces respond much quicker .

If the plane is a bit heavy, a Mejzlik30x10 is great. It lets the engine spool up immediately out of a hover.

I have been using the Vess 32A, the plane comes alive with that prop.
I have tried many props on my DA 150 with stock mufflers powered 3.3m Yak, weighing close to 50 lbs and the Vess 32A gave the best performance, didn't believe it until I tried it.

This is all good info. But I have experienced what Snap has experienced! The damn thing just runs better with the Vess 32A. The DA 150 that is...I have more power and it spools up alot faster than any others I have used.. I am flying a 3W Extra 40%. I have spent in the last few weeks 160.00 on props! They are worth it..They are really not as much as the others to tell the truth...$80.00 plus shipping..But well worth ity...But I am keeping the Prince in mind. I haven't tried that one yet. But I have the others. Any others out there?

CHP huh? Tell me why if you would...I'd like to hear why. What does it do for you to run it on a DA 150 and why you are happy with it. I know there are so many more and even 3 blades. I am trying to experiment myself.

I have only used the CHP, a MENZ 32 x 10 and a MENZ 30 x 12 on the 250 DA150 flights in my modeling experiance... kind of a small sampling. Call Chip.. see if he has more... last October I did not see any on the pegboard in his shop.... Many of my friends are having success with the XOAR 32 x 10... I have one myself untried so far. |
