Default Chip Hyde QuitePipe

Does this thing rob power? Is it any good for 100-110 size engine? Noise level compared to pefa or mtw?

Yes I know cans are cans if they are of approx. same volume. I undertand these are smaller than other cans for 100cc.

I am looking for comparative data from someone who ran 2 different cans for test.

I can tell you that Maudib (on RCU) put one on a DA 50 and gained 200 RPM over a stock muffler with the CHP pipe. So I bought one and put it in my Yak And lost 400 RPM!!! The reason for this is that I cut the header down by a couple inches without thinking. If you do get one you MUST run the full length header, or slightly longer, to realize a power gain...it all depends on the prop.

One of the guys I fly with out of Napoleon has the CHP 300, DA100 and CHP pipes, they do a great job and a little more sound due to they are exposed out the bottom, I have a BME 110 with JMB cans and 3 blade and it sounds electric. I also have a Composite ARF Yak with DA 100 and Pefa LL cans, they are great performance and quiet!

Ok so quietpipes are not that quiet compared to other cans. I expected this as QPs are smaller volume than others. It also seems that you need to run full length ( 310mm ) to not lose power.

Are the jmb's less critical on header length?
