Tower is listing a Module/3-channel Rx combo for $200....

What puzzles me, is, although the are all the FASST system, one has to select a 7 or 8-channel mode on the 8ch module, yet, one can operate the 14ch rx, even according to the german importer. Cheers, Julez |

I will ask and report back, but I think what they mean is you can use the rx's but if your tx is a 6 channel, your not going to get more than that even though your using the 14 channel rx.
I will get back to you on the 6 channel rx question asked earlier. Will B.

Will, i believe this is what we learned in Toledo. The TX, would limit the availbale channels. Great to see you and Ms. M... man she had the booth going baby!

Just to clarify, I asked the support: "Is it possible to operate the reciever R606FS with the TM-8 module?" The answer was: "No, this will not be possible. For this module, the recievers R607FS, R608FS and R6014FS are intended." Now the question is: Does the channel number select button adjust the module to the number of incoming PPM channels, or does it determine the number of outgoing channels? If it was the latter, which position would it have to be in if the R6014FS was selected? Why would the 14ch RX work with a lower number of channels selected on the module, but, when using the 8ch RX, it would not work when 7 channels are selected on the module? In both cases, the channel number of the module was lower than the channel number on the RX. As this scenario does not make too much sense, I guess the module has to be adjusted according to the incoming number of PPM channels. Are there any Futaba TXes using the normal module size, that put out a different number than 7 or 8 channels in PPM? Cheers, Julez |

.Don't bother - wait for the actual product to show up, spend 2 minutes with it and you'll get all your answers. Otherwise, you'll just go crazy. P.

There's a button you have to adjust on the module every time you fly a RX with a different # of channels???????

So......looking at the Modules in the Photo.....What Happens if you select anything other than "General"? Does it Just Give Up, Surrender and Stop working?????

No idea. There are many details that we simply do not know right now. Nobody I know of actually has flown these yet.
All I know is that I have a 14MZ and cannot wait to get my hands on a module. I have one on order (through the Team - and even we have not gotten any pricing info) and will be anxious to put it through its paces.
