Why don't you start a separate thread about problems with 2.4ghz. This thread is about the 12FG Futaba. Anymore talk about "line-of-sight" in this thread is just beating a dead horse at this point. Respectfully, Bob R.

Hi!
If I believed every word that was written on the internet, I'd be insane by now. Just the fact that somethin was written down does not mean, that it is the irrefutable truth. A manufacturers claim does not change the laws of physics. Sometimes they are a bit careful with their claims (Futaba), sometimes they like to boast of a little (XPS). Are you referring to this thread? I can read nothing about "line of sight". The best thing is to believe what the actual users report. Has anyone ever experienced a lockout that could be traced back to "not staying in line of sight"? It is easier to block 2.4GHz as it has a shorter wavelength, but this effect is not anywhere near being so problematic as it is presented by some people. After all, if "line of sight" was true, how is the explanation that I am able to transmit through 3 houses and 100m of forest simultaneously? Fuel tank. Tailpipe. Cheers, Julez Edit: I wrote this before I read Bob's request. Yeah, a thread with negative "facts" about 2,4GHz is usually quite funny, as most of them get disproven by actual users in a very short time. Reality can be a pesky thing. My Spektrum DX-7 initially had a range test issue. Couldn't get past 13 paces(39'). Sent it back twice before they fixed the problem - ant to module wire - hardware! I had one crash ENTIRELY MY FAULT, I ran the rcx batt down too low ![]() I now have 3 glow's setup on the DX-7, and 2 on the DX-6. NO problems whatsoever related to the 2.4Ghz in actual usage!!! ![]() I'm not a JR fan (programming, I prefer my Futaba 9C's), but those Spektrum DX's have been rock solid!!! Just as soon as Futaba ships my 2.4 Ghz FAAST module & rcx's, I'll setup my DP Ultimate (1.50 Saito), and my GP Ultimate 1.60 (DA-50r) on that. I only prefer my Futaba 9C because I'm most familiar with programming it. So there! An actual users report of success with 2.4 Ghz in R-C usage!!!

Well ... I checked Tower's website just knowing that my 2.4 setup for my 14MZ would be shipping any day now.. after all they have been claiming end of august for several months. To my disgust now there are showing end of September..
Sounds like someone at big F needs a lesson in production scheduling...

Well, I've flown 72 mhz for 34 years, guess I can wait another couple of months. Like someone else said, the best thing about 2.4ghz is that it is freeing up the 72mhz channels.
I have not had to wait for a pin for at least 3 months now.Bob R.

Anyone notice that the 14 channel receiver only has 12 outputs?

yup....laid out identical to the 72mhz 14ch rx. 12 ch are proportional, 2 are on/off only and are located on the side of the rx....
