Yeah, lots of viewers, but does anybody answer questions, I don't think so.

For the 14MZ to transmit 14 channels ss, will it have to be set to ppm or SPCM2048? If to ppm, will Futaba come out with a software upgrade to allow all 14 channels to work in ppm, not just 8 channels?

Mad Max,

The portion of your article talking about the new modules doesn't specifically list the 12MZ transmitter as being one of the ones the new modules will work with. However, I assume the 12MZ is no different than the 14MZ in this respect and can simply use the same transmitter module and the new 6014 receiver. Is this correct?

Thanks.

That is correct. Same module and receiver will work in both. Plus you'll be able to use all 14 channels.

I believe the latest software update for the 12/14 increased the PPM channels to 14.

Fixed Wing: TM-14: 14-Channel Module and R6014FS 14-Channel Receiver
Fits the 14MZ, 12Z, and the NEW 12FG radio.
*Capable of using all 14 channels with Futaba Module/Receiver set

The biggest question is - will the paper shipping boxes or maybe neck straps delay the release for several months ??

Will the new 12FG have all the same features as the 12Z? Also is there an advantage to using the new 12FG as apposed to buying modules and RX's for my existing 12Z

Funny how the little things are so important! I too would like to know the answer to this question. If the 12FG has the same functions as the 12z and balances on the end of my neck strap I might be sold!

Do the modules use the (slow) PPM output?

If so, you would still be better off with a new native 2.4Ghz transmitter. Any possibilities of sending in the 14MZ to have it upgraded propperly, with the antenna mounted the right place?

The 12Z and 14MZ use the same module.

From the press release, the plug in modules will work at the 2048 speed. When I switched over this winter to 2048 I was amazed at how I was out in front on all my inputs. I felt way more connected to the plane. Futaba has set the bar high!
