Well am still playing with the Cg in my. Right how it is a 1/4 inch back from the front of the wing tube. I one guy told be to have it 2 inches in front of the wing tube, that is way nose heavy for me. The wing rock in a harrier is bad. Any going to be flying mine again this weekend in houston and get the final setting on the Cg. This plane is a great flyer and lands like a trainer. Am using a da-85 with a mejzilk 26*10 prop and it have plenty of vertical. I will ahve to switch to a pull -pull set up to get some of the weight out of the nose. Am setting pretty close to 25 pounds. Hope this helps.

Yea I love mine. It is a blast to fly I need to get some more flights on it before that IMAC bootcamp on the Feb 23-24 in Forth Worth. Were is the cg on your plane? What setup are you running. I have duel fromeco regs, and dual fromeco 2400, and sf power expander

This was my first gasser. I started out with one RX and batt. In process of going over to smart fly equipment. I am keeping the jr ds8411 2 on rudder, same servos on aielrons and elevator.
My rudder setup is to fiber rods running directly to the rudder, Servos are mounted in the tail. I have all CF graphtec gear. Running a ZDZ 80. I will check my CG as soon as I get back from the doctors around 11:30. I will post pics as well guys.

Regards,
Jason

ok thanks, did you have to add weight to the nose since the servo are in the rear. This plane has a long tail moment. I will get some pics of mine too

Sorry this took so long. I just have had no free time lately.
I just measured my CG. From the the leading edge of the wing at the fuselage it is 4 7/8" back.
Make marks in the wood with the canopy off, stand over it and hold it there to see where it balances.
I have my ignition, ignition battery(NiCd), and NiCd Rx pack all on the engine box under the cowel. The CG is was setup for sportsman flying when I bought the plane at the end of the season. I put a few flights on it and it was a great stable flying airplane and it rolled like you wouldn't believe when we cranked up the aielron throws. Scary Fast !! Needless to say I put a meter on all the throws and dialed them in per the instruction manual and they were pretty decent.

Cool, I may have to get the carbon main gear. I took another 4 oz out of the nose and now my edge flies much better. I have to agree with on high rates this plane is crazy doing rolls. How did you manage to get all of the rx batteries and igniton battery in the engine box? I don't have mcuh room up there any more. I have a regulator, a 2600 fromeco pack, and 2 rocks of lead that i want to take out.

To get all the batteries under the cowel I Put normal household hooks screwed and epoxied into the outside of the engine box. I put the ignition in the center of the hooks also held with industrial strength velcro. I then put a piece of dubro foam over the ignition and out a 4.8V niCd pack on the foam over the ignition. Then rubber banded it all securely in place using the 4 hooks.
I did the same on the other side for the rx pack. I have no added weight anywheres on the plane. This spring when I move my cg back for 3D it will be cake. 1 battery should do it. If not both surely will. To be honest though it will hover just fine where it is at once I get it straight up and down. But the CG has to be moved back for 3D

Cool thanks for the info, I may try to do that. It wont hurt the batteries be close to that hot muffler? I will try and do that so I can get the weight out of the nose. I really would like to leave my servos in the tail for the rudder.
