Default Dalton Extra 260 Trimming and adjusting

Today at the flying field I was unable to fly due to that the battery I had my charger hook up to was not charged up good enough to run the charger right. I could have used my truck battery but after a while the wind pick up pretty hard. So a friend of mine and I decided to work out the elevator on the 260 and getting it set equal to each other. For some reason one is off center.
While we are trying to figure out the best way to get both of them center correctly we notice one elevator was a little bit bigger than the other one. Another thing the thickness of one trailing edge was thicker than the other one. What I think is we could program this so the plane would still fly straight. I was just wondering if that is still possible.
For now I am wondering what would be the best way of centering the two. I have two servos per elevator and all four servos are plugged into one match box. My granddad told me all I had to do was adjust the linkgage. Before I start messing with it would that be the best way??? Also another option would go through the match box and adjust those two. Or another option would be to get another matchbox and have one match box per elevator. I believe has soon as we get them level I can work out with the mixing.
Problem B is the plane is way too tail heavy. I did the 45 degree upline and roll inverted test and the plane climb and was trying to loop over. I am thinking about moving the batteries up as far as I can where the fuel tank sits to start off. Then I would probably have to add weight to the front. So until I can get these two problems fix I cant really do any mixing. I am trying to set this plane up for IMAC and freestyle. Thanks!

Look at one elevator half, take one linkage off and make it so the arm is 90* to the servo case. Now, adjust the linkage so that the elevator is centered. Adjust the other linkage to match the first one.
