Default I NEED A COWL

I need a cowl for my Aeroworks 33% Edge 540t. I reached Aeroworks and they dont have them. Does anyone have one new or used that they do not need and could sell to me?

If this is the old 33% 540T/36% 540, the new 35% 540T may be the same size cowl. I have the old 33% 540T and the dimensions on the airframe are about the same as the new 35% "T" version. This may be worth looking into if you can't find one.

Ya If I can rind either one it would be great. I can always mod the 35% size if it does not fit.

I have made a few myself and it's not that hard. If you want super finnish this might not bee it. But if you put a little effort in and are a bit handy the result is quite satisfying.
You take a big pice of styrofoam (or several thinner glued together with PU glue) and give it a profile shape. From the side and from the top. The rest you shape with a sharp knife and finally sand it to the finnish. Once you got the exact and correct shape you want wrap it with plastic film. Then you are ready for 2-3 layers of fiberglass with epoxi. The plastic film makes it easy to get the plug out.
I really hope you find it somewhere but otherwise this could be a rescue for your model.

Kent

PS. I have a tread here were you can find a model i scratch buildt with the cowl made just like this.
Good luck
