I am surprised this hasn't been posted here yet. Check out the new Turbo-Prop bipe 'Toucan' getting ready to make its maiden any day. This beauty will have postive thrust-to-weight exceeding 1:1 just like the Raven did. But, this thing is slated to do 3-D stuff more like RC including sustained hovering. This bird is a real beauty and it will be exciting to see what's to come. The airshow pilot is supose to come out of Sean Tucker's camp (one of his aerobatic school instructors).
The website is nice and informative. http://www.turbinetoucan.com/homepage/ Also of note, QQ has been brought on board to develop an RC model of the Toucan:http://www.turbinetoucan.com/clubtoucan/rc.php

Taxi tests with a couple pics. Looks like they are still tweaking and need some new parts. Sounds a lot like many RC maiden flight preperations....

Maybe its just me but I see no resemblance to a pitts at all except for having two wings. Completely different wing structure, much longer nose moment, and tail moment, ultimate style fin, no rounded tail feathers, no bubble canopy, different LG attachment...

There are a lot of pitts variants though and I'm comparing it to the orignal pitts.

This is a Pitts Model 12. If you look at the wing, struts, and fuselage from the cowel back... I do see similarities.

The Toucan flew... without any pants! Guess they didn't stand it on its tail the first flight.
