Default Krill 40% Katana. Who's got one?

Anyone got a Krill 40% Katana? Like to here some opinions on the flying performance of these things, especially IMAC. Am tossing up between a Comp ARF 40% extra 260 or maybe the Krill.

I have one. I have about 25 flights on her, set up primarily for IMAC. She behaves very well, presents nicely in the air. Penetrates the wind very good and does not seem to get bounced around, no more or less than anyother plane this size.

I am still tweaking a little here and there as I go. But for the most part she is where I want it. Rolls very axially on the 45's and verticals. Downlines are a little brisk, but nothing major, no tucking or pulling on the downlines, mixes for knife edge are like 2% on pattern rates and 4% on roller rate. The long tail moment gives it a pattern type plane feel.

Quality is top notch, access to everything with the hatch off. Either plane will do well...the 260 appears to be a nice flying plane as well...I say go got the plane that looks the best to your eyes...you cant go wrong with either.

good luck with the decision.

Joe

sorry it has taken me so long to respond...I just happened to stumble upon this skimming through the pages of the forum. The Negative snaps seem to be easier if not the same as upright snaps...whether it be 1/2. 3/4, or any combination snap...the plane does not wind itself up like some planes do...the speed is the same all the way through and does not seem to loose speed when completeing 2 consequitive snaps...upright or inverted. Overall , I am completely happy with the plane..since my last post, I have gotten another that I am currently doing a build thread, here on FG.

Hope this helps,
Joe

Hi am Justin Getz, I am 14 years old and I have just got my 40% Krill Katana together. I really love the plane so far, it tracks really well, The snaps are beautiful, It's really good for precision and also it 3d's very well. I am running a DA-150 on Mtw Canisters with all 8711a servo's. Also the prop I am using is a 3 blade. The 3 blade made my plane perform a bit better for precision.

Best Regards

,Justin

Good to hear Justin...by chance...has Chris Mair helped you out with the set up?

I have Glezellis' old one, and I am currently finishing up another.

Glad you like it!
