My testing will be an extensive engine run ground test at the normal range check distances, to include nose on.

After that a close flight and some approaches. Then I plan to take it far away. Then land. If it passes that what else you want?

One thing's for certain. If this unit is actively using a hop table when it senses a signal drop then it's far superior to anything that's linked onto the original frequency signal set. I use hop tables in another form of flying and it's the best method there is in maintaining a solid signal link. Don't matter what anyone says, range is still "line of sigt". If the receiver can't "see" the signal from the Tx then the signal is lost. Even 72 mhz wiull "see" more than 5 miles if the sight line is unbroken by solid objects or the curvature of the eatrh.

One fact remains, if you can't see the plane, then it's out of control. Without some pretty fancy equipment you can't control what you can't see. That's the effective range of the radio.

If you have a newer JR 9303 you will only have a couple of options if you want 2.4 gig. Either buy new 2.4 gig modules from JR or Extreme Link. Go for the one that provides the most usable features.

Ok so i installed my new 10-channel receiver in my F16 today. I have a problem that i don't quite understand. I am unable to get channel 10 to do anything? I am using my 10X. Did i overlook something? I know Spektrum says their stuff is only 9 channels but i was under the impression that this XPS stuff was full 10 channels from talking to Jim Drew at Toledo. For some reason my channel 10 is dead? The other 9 work perfect. Any suggestions or anyone else run into this?

I don't think you get 10 channels with the 10X on PPM.,

I installed and programmed the 9C XL this AM. I'm off to the field to test now. Easy setup for sure. 8 channels work in PPM for 9C. I'll put it in my cermark/wren supersport F16 next if this goes perfectly today in my 2.6.

As was I. I hadn't checked my ch 10 yet either. I plugged a batt into that channel. I'll go back and ensure it works tonight.

I flew my XPS system 2 days ago and all works as it should. I got 7 flights in on my 50 cc Wild Hare extra 300. Full on 3d and long range 1 roll rolling circles with every thing I do in a normal balls out flight. I'll hold off judgement of the system till after I fly it many more times.

Utill then heres some eye candy. I'm at the Writing Center here at UK getting my huge paper getting prof read before I turn it in, so I only have these 3 pic.
