Default Needle adjustements for DA100

Hi,
I have a DA100 , still in running-in stage (only 2 gallons yet). I adjusted the needles acording to instructions and the engine is running ok (?).
But, when I turn a needle in small steps (15 degr) the behaviour of the engine is almost the same. So, I don't know if my adjustements are ok. I'm affraid not to lean it too much.
Can any one tell me a proper way to adjust the needles?

I believe that the ajustment is 2 on e the high and 2 one the low, but call Brian at DA and ask.

the needle settings should be 1 1/2 on high and 1 1/2 on low and if you need to adjust the needles do about 1/16 of a turn at a time.

Go to this link and look at post #4. I use this technique now and it is amazing the difference it makes. Thanks Xipp. http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/showthread.php?t=245

guys, listen to xipp on the above mentioned post. it is impossible to state how many turns mixture needles should be because there are so many factors that diifer. altitude , temp and exhaust choice being the most predominant. these are tried and tested methods in tuning these engines.

I want to "solder a piece of brass tubing where the vent is" but I can't figure out where this vent hole is. Posting a picture will help me alot.
Where the idle and high RPM should be (especialy idle)? I'm using DA100, Mezjlik28x10, carbon spinner.

In all the DA 100's that I have run I have never found any difference in one that had a brass vent tube compared to that doesnt. I would not bother putting one in.

The only thing that I have ever seen work well besides stock is if you take a thin piece of aluminum that is the width of the carb by about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in length and bolt it to the back two bolts of the carb towards the ground. It basically acts like a scoop and creates a positive airflow to the carb. It is especially good for airplanes that have the carb outside of the cowl or a big round cowl.

I am not trying to sound like a know it all or anything but I did a lot of the DA testing and there are probably only three people in the world that have run more DA's then I have.
