flatlandman, that dorsal airfoil piece has been growing in size on cplr's models over the years, perhaps its purpose is to get people asking ***?...does that do something?...what am i missing?....or maybe its a place to put your onboard camera like in an f1 car!

Hi Guys,
The T-Canalizer, or even just a dorsal fin (no top wing), can have a tremendous affect on the flying qualities of the plane. More of that specific discussion is posted in the RCU pattern forum under the "New CA Model" thread and various other. Suffice to say, it is there for a reason and I think most would agree that its presence and use is more for the F3A F0X (finals) style of maneuvers like rolling loops and rolling circles. It also affects pitch mix with rudder. It has been tried on various planes too. Thanks, Jim
