A lot of people have, and it's fine. My friend and I are both flying composite planes on the DX7, mine is a 2.6m Edge, his is a 2.6m Yak, and they both perform flawlessly. I've probably got 30 flights with it so far in the Edge.

I would say...It depends on the composite....
I do know of one local gentleman that tried the DX7 with a all CF glider... and it wouldn't work.....since the antenna were entirely inside the fuse.....

Tim, a bunch of people have been using all of the 2.4 systems in composite aircraft. Just make sure to pay VERY close attention to power. These systems are microprocessor based, and if voltage drops below the manufacturer threshold, they will reboot, and that is bad. Plug everything in (wings, stabs), and hook a volt meter to your receiver. Exercise all of the servos simultaneously and observe voltage. Don't ever let your system drop below 4 volts. Use heavy gage wire, and power expanders or similar. Can't stress that enough.
Enjoy, and welcome to FG! MD

thats great glad to see it works ok with powerboxes, i've one in the yak
which gives me a constant 5.9 volt output on all channels from 2 3700 mah 7.4 lipos so there won't be any fear of voltage drop to the rx.
