I saw that on the Horizon site today. Good match for the DA-85.

The photo is not shopped, check out the horizon site yourself, but it's out of stock already

It would have been even better if the limited run had incorporated all the work H9 is completing on the 35% 260 e.g. hinges done, sealed etc. Also it does not look lie it comes with a hardware kit. So... that makes it fairly close in price to the 35% 260 and with a lot more work to finish on it.

Either way it is great to see it back again!

I would buy one in a heartbeat if it had the Breitling scheme like Highlight's Cap. I just love this scheme for some reason.

Is this limited edition run made from the same tooling? ie, will it be spec for spec the exact same as the original run? .

That would be my guess.

I've got an original with a BME 110. It absolutely rocks for 3D and will fly precision with the best of them as well. About a year ago I started buying up parts just in case.. Surprisingly, new parts were pretty abundant on Ebay. I wonder if there were a bunch of these still sitting in a warehouse somewhere. It's kinda odd that they're doing a 'limited run' 5 years after the fact with the exact same color scheme, etc.. The pics on Horizon's site are the same as the original release and the pic with Mike M. looks photochopped. Regardless, the plane kicks ass for all types of flying and I'm glad to see it back.

Here's some crappy cell phone vids of flopping mine around in the wind:

I think it is from all the interest in Caps once again. People are pretty much sick of Yaks and want something different again. Plus videos like yours demostrate the 3D capability and rock solid harrier of the H9 Cap.

Well Gang,
Here's mine. I've got 10 flights on this one...... I got it from Chief Aircraft in May of 2002 and I finally got it together. (It did a lot of wait time in the box until last year or so!) I got all the good stuff on it one little bit at a time. My son and I have really wrung it out and now that we found out they are going to re-release it. I almost feel like I got the first of something new!

We are powering it with a new, un-run 3W-80 twin. I've got 8611's all around. (4 ail, 2 elev, 1 rud, and an 8417 throttle. There is a Match Box in each wing root. H-9 inst. panel, Cajun R/C pilot, Nelson and H-9 hardware. I use two JR 2700 NiMh batts running through two MPI charge jack switches going into a single 955 JR RX. (One batt is plugged into the batt port of the RX and the other batt is plugged into the gear channel of the RX.) I have a 32 ounce Sullivan tank. I'm at just under 24 pounds and I'm still sorting out which prop I want to use so as to not have the ripping sound at anything above half throttle. Real easy to harrier, blender, inverted harrier, and snap really low on take-off. I'm liking it!

Notable is the fact that those videos were shot with a steady 14-16 wind from the East (video vantage point faces north) with 20+ mile gusts. You can really tell when the plane gets pushed in a hover. I've had a few 33%'s and the Cap is one of the few that really handles the wind well in high alpha.
