Default Finaly had a good day in the cold

It seems that since it has gotten cold I've been having 2x the amount of mechanical problems. Yesterday Scorf and I went out to the feild. He had enough common sense to call it a day when his foamy got frost bite and turned into a graham cracker breaking the nose off (sound familiar Jeeum? ) I got two numb thumb tanks in and the heli ran flawless! It was about 20 degrees, but it felt like 0 with the wind chill. I am definately getting a radio glove for next year.
I also discovered the trick to compensating for tail belt issues with the cold. The raptor manual calls for 6mm of slack near the frame pulleys, but when I brought it out into the cold it would loosen to the point of "clinking" in the boom. I started with 4mm inside and it was fine in the cold. A little loose, but any tighter and it would cause one-way issues when it warmed up.
It also seems like 15% produces as much in cold as 30% in summer. Dense air maybe?

yeah that's the good one. One guy at the field accidentally hit the throttle because his did not have the "cage" to keep the window off the stick. Luckily it was a little piper cub trainer. Would have been messy with a heli.
