OK.. so I stayed up late, DIDN'T get CAUGHT UP in the FG chat room, and got some work in...
I got all servos installed, motor, fuel tank, fuel dot, Cowl mounted, canopy mounted, gear and wheel pants on, and surfaces hinged and sealed. Not bad for 2 nights!! Check her out.. she's WAY prettier than I expected! (Thanks B&E graphics)

Oh yea.. and an OLD Timer at the hobby shop dropped some serious knowledge on me about mounting cowls.. Most planes come with the Blind nuts to put on the back of the hard wood blocks that you screw your cowl to.
This old dude said ditch them, and use little inserts of the "golden Rod" stuff (the plastic yellow rods that slide inside the plastic blue tubes for throttle linkages and such) That way you can just use a wood screw and screw into the plastic tube. It won't vibrate loose and it won't spin free like the blind nuts and make you have to cut the bolt head off. I tried this and its BAD ASS. I'm sure some of you guys have been doing this forever but for me, this was a HUGE eye opener!! I will be doing this from now on!! ![]() Best part is, if they ever wear out, you drill them out and glue in a new one!

Steve, actually if you use the blind nut's and put a piece of fuel tubing over the bolt with a small washer that will also hold up great too.
Other then that the plane looks great get that biotch in the air.
