OK, here you can see better how to "finish" off the stringers. This will make you a nice platform to mount your tailwheel. RCBlimp makes a nice light one. Any of them will fit this style of mount so... I went with this way.
*Step 1- Throw in the wing tube and horizontal stab tube. Please don't glue anything right here. Put it in the fuse, and check to see where it is. Here, we will check it for both being square to the wing tube, and, check to make sure it is level. The wing tube was so level , that you wont need to worry about it. You should have glued it way back when you did the motor/gear/tube setup. I like epoxy for all of this. *Step 2-If it is not level, or needs adjusted, I like to do it with toothpicks wedged around the outside of the stab tube. It is going to be close, I guarantee that! Mine was 1/64" out.. so go figure. Step 3- wear gloves, epoxy is messy, and harmful to your skin. Mix up some 30 minute or 1 hour stuff. Not 5 minutes. Now, once the epoxy is mixed, keep throwing in cabasil or micro balloons.. Make it the consistency of mayonaise. Once that is done, spooge it in and around the tube from the inside. Try to force the mix in there good. *Step 4- Don't leave this alone.. just keep an eye on this to make sure nothing moved.

Guys.. the fuselage is DONE at this point. This is no more than 2 hours....
![]() I am not going to go into the sheeting because we have all seen this 1,000 times. You get very nice foam cores with shucks and you sheet the wings. It is very straight forward and sheets like any other foam wing. Once you get the thing all sheeted up with the root ribs in, you will see where I am here. What we are doing now is setting the tail incidence. You have to have an incidence meter. for this build. When you have "0" on the stab, you come from the other side with a 1/4" drywall bit(12-24" needed) and drill from the other side using the 1/4" in th fuse as a guide hole. I wouldnt make it and drill it on th bench. Use the hole in the fuse as a guide. This is done with both the wing and tail. Same procedure... *Step 1- Make some small 1/4" doorstop wedges *Step 2- Put some good white glue, or epoxy on the inside of the stab/elevator(not cut yet) and the root rib. Spooge it up and careful not to get too carried away around that tube. You can squish it out of the root rib and it will glue to th stab tube...!!!!!!!!! Easy around the tube. *Step 3- Push both stab/elev's on the tube, and slide them up to the fuse. Get them close on the "0" incidence. Use tape to pull them to the fuse sides. Any contours will be bent in the rib root to force the rib to take contour of the fuse... I taped near the places where I spooge in epoxy from the outside so I did not mess up the sheeting)see pix). *Step 4- Once this whole thing has setup..., fill in the gap and take out the countour "wedges". Wait 24 hours and sand or use a router to make these rib roots flush with the stabs... I chose the sanding... routers scare me!!! * Step 5- now, lets drill for the real incidence... only one chance.. take your time. Get s A pic is worth 1,000 words!

OK, now that we practiced making the root rib contour to the fuse, lets do the wings...
Same thing. Lots of tape, wedges, epoxy, etc. Take your time here, you only get one shot to get this contour right, and the incidence.. Ok, we're not setting the incidence per say, we do need the wing to be accurate and put it on "0" for good measure... That was the contour is perfect. Once we cover this bad boy, we don't need any gaps.... anywhere. Also, mark your wings.... L & R...

OK... tools for the next job. Go to lowes and get 2 good levels and a square with a level...get a good one... not a cheap one that has play in it...
What we are doing here is making the fuse level in all ways. We're about to throw on the vertical stab! Total hours to this point... approximately 6.

OK, lets mount the turtledeck. I finished it off by taking some scrap styrofoam and just sand and whittle away until it looks good. I use 80 grit. It just short of carving foam with a rock. I used 220 when I got close. I then took the top of the stab turned upside down to give me an idea on airfoil size and shape. Of course thats too small (this is going on the base of the stab), and just kept sanding it larger until it fit..
DO NOT glue anything here...

Ok... now that it is close... Robert's instructions are to cock the stab to the left a tick. A tick is actually 1/4" to the left(from behind the plane) on the front of the turtle deck . So, find center on the turtle deck where the canopy back will be, and then over 1/4" to the left. This is something unique and I have never heard of anybody doing this. But these are strict instructions...

Get some Elmers wood filler and an old credit card or in my case... an old motel room key. I like to make it just thin enough to spread, but not wet enough to wet the wood and swell anything or warp anything...
Just fill in and sand down the turtle decks end. I have also epoxied down the TD by this point... failed to mention that. When I glued in the TD end, I also glued in the stab, TD, and the end TD(Turtle deck). Here is the fuse now... 8 hours into the build so far...

OK, lets cut the servo's for the wings... the kit includes some very nice lite ply servo mounts. You will butt these up to the trailing edge balsa .. see pix. OK, this is very simple. You can even read my measurments on the wing. The hard points that you install into the ailerons... you want to make sure these servo trays will be offset at the servo shaft for 1 1/4" . This assures proper offset for the arms... pretty self explanitory here...
