You wont be able to land it...

With a DA-100 ready to fly minus fuel, I am 24.5 lbs... You should get to the 23's easily!

I didn't see this thread earlier this year until just now. But OMG!!, is it dejavu for me. really cool to see someone else build what i thought long ago was a good airplane design.

i guess i also have to ask you Kieth, how did it fly, if you did fly it. And, did you give it the weight check? this airplane line has a bit less wing area than the current batch of planes out there, so weight is a bit more critical for this airframe.

i did see that you built the stabs with stock sized elevators. i enlarged my elevators on the first plane i built and will enlarge them even more on the second one which i will finish this spring. without the larger elevators, you will not be able to do 3D, but maybe that is not your thing anyways.

really curious to how you liked the plane. good job.

I've said it a hundred times now, but I paid retail for this kit and in no way doing an ad for Precision Aviation aka Godfrey. This is by far the Caddy of airplanes. You can tell by building it to flying it that Robert knows what is going on. My airplane with a DA 100 and cans came in at 25 lbs with some fuel. It 3D's great and pattern great. The plane has 50 degrees each way, and it is almost too much. It is an excellent plane and I will build another. Knife egde has some coupling, and I moved some things to make it a little tail heavy and pretty much eliminated the coupling. It harriers sick. It does great elevators. It does great flat spins. It does everything great and is so much more sturdy than any ARF I have. Good luck!

Geat build thinking of getting one like the 300 but would like it 32.5 but dont think there the same?
